Seaforth Community Hospital Declares Influenza Outbreak

The Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance says an Influenza Outbreak has been declared at Seaforth Community Hospital.

HPHA Vice President Partnerships and Chief Nursing Executive Anne Campbell says there are three confirmed cases of hospital-acquired flu.

This comes after the number of cases at the Stratford General Hospital has risen to eight, as it’s also under Outbreak status.

Visitors are being asked to stay at home if you are sick or experiencing and flu-like symptoms.

The hospitals are also asking visitors to limit their trips to the hospitals to one patient per visit.

The Huron Perth Health Care Alliance says it will provide updates as they become available.
