UPDATED: Flood Warnings and Watches Expanded

The Upper Thames Conservation Authority says the overnight melt mixed with rain equals to about 20 millimeters of rain over the last 24 hours.

The UTRCA is warning areas in Stratford such as Dolan Drive, Avon Cemetary and the Stratford Golf and Country Club are high risk areas in the city today.

In Perth south Prospect Hill Campground, Motherwell area in West Perth and Thomas Street in St. Marys are all at risk of flooding further over the next two days.

Both the Upper Thames and Grand River conservation authorities are warning you to stay away from riverbanks and streams for the timebeing.

 

Heavy rain has sparked flood warnings across the region, from both the Grand River and Upper Thames River conservation authorities.

The GRCA says Waterloo Regional Police and township staff will be closely monitoring levels in New Hamburg with some flooding expected this evening.

Commuters can expect the Three Bridges Road Bridge and St. Jacobs Bridge to be closed for much of this week in Woolwich.

The UTRCA says flood watch bulletins are in effect for the Fanshawe, Wildwood and Pittock conservation areas.

The UTRCA and the GRCA are asking you to stay away from any riverbanks or streams while the flood warnings are active.
