Huron Health Unit Looking for Participants in Wind Turbine Study

Huron County’s Health Unit is putting out the word to anyone willing to be a part of its wind turbine study.

The health unit wants to gauge how vibrations, the noise the turbines make and the lights affect the general health of those who live near them.

If you live within 10 kilometres of a turbine in Huron County then you qualify to take part on the study.

It involves keeping a diary, making one entry a week for a year for the health unit to use as data.

The study is hoping to hear from those who have problems with the turbines and those who don’t.

The health unit started looking for participants last fall, with the deadline to join coming up in October.

Instructions on how to apply can be found here.
