UTRCA Downgrades to Flood Watch in St. Marys

The Upper Thames Conservation Authority has lifted its flood warning status for the town of St. Marys.

A flood watch remains in effect today after a weekend of warm temperatures and some rain.

Across the UTRCA watershed levels are steadily dropping according to the region’s monitors.

The conservation authority says flood plains, riverbanks and streams are still considered dangerous.

The town of St. Marys says there are still closures in place at the Ring Road and Loop Trail entrances at Milt Dunnell Field and Mill Race Island.

Both are expected to be reassessed today.
