Local MPP Randy Pettapiece has made a statement this week after the Ontario Liberal government released their budget for 2018. In it, he says, during their mandate, the Liberals have failed to act on issues like hospital overcrowding and a lack of long-term care beds. With just ten weeks before Election Day, Pettapiece said he is skeptical of Premier Wynne’s sudden interest in fixing the problems her government created. However, here in Perth County, there may be some benefits.
The provincial debt will exceed $325 billion this year – costing more than $1 billion in interest payments per month.
