Renovations being made to walkway on south side of Avon River

The walkway on the south side of the Avon River in Stratford is getting a facelift.

The City of Stratford says the brick work on the brick pathway on the south side, along Lakeside Drive between Waterloo Street and Morenz Drive, has become uneven.

They say they are going to replace that portion with a two-metre wide concrete sidewalk.

With the work starting this week, that area will be closed off to pedestrians until it is completed.
