UPDATE REPORTS: Bomb Threat at Festival Theatre Cancels Opening Night

The Stratford Police Service confirms they are on scene at the Festival Theatre after a “threat to the property”.

The Avon Theatre and the Festival have been evacuated as a precaution.

Police are asking everyone to stay away from Upper Queens and in the area of the Avon Theatre.

Police are on scene.

Tonight’s opening of Shakespeare’s “The Tempest” has been cancelled.
