Stratford Police say nothing suspicious about man who stopped to speak to child

Stratford Police say there was nothing suspicious about an incident in the city over the weekend.

They tweeted on Saturday that an unknown man in a white, hybrid type, car had stopped and spoke to a child in the south end of the city.

They asked that anyone who saw anything suspicious to contact them as they wanted to identify the man and speak to him.

Then on Sunday they tweeted out that it turned out to a city resident who stopped to see if a child by the roadway was ok.

They say the incident was investigated and cleared.
