Preliminary work has started in the Downie Street parking lot to prepare for construction of the City of Stratford’s new transit terminal.
This area will be used for Stratford Transit buses only, with no other vehicle parking. Buses will enter and leave from that south entrance. Then starting next Wednesday, additional fencing will be installed in preparation for the actual construction, and no vehicle parking will be available in that area.
Free parking will still be available in the southwest corner of the Downie lot, as well as in the nearby Cooper lot. Access to parking in those areas will be through the St. Patrick Street entrance
