Mental health call leads to heavy police presence in St.Marys

Police say a heavy presence of officers in St.Marys was due to mental health.
Around 11:30 Sunday morning, Perth County OPP say they received a request from Stratford Police for assistance with a mental health-related call in St.Marys.
Members of the Perth County OPP, West Region OPP Emergency Response Team, Crisis Negotiator Team, and the Tactics and Rescue Unit went to an address on Queen Street to help find a male.
Police say the man was found and apprehended under the Mental Health Act without incident.
He was brought to a local hospital and police left the area around 3:30 p.m.
