Suspect in Stratford Cenotaph case misses second court appearance

For the second time, the 20-year-old man charged with allegedly driving a vehicle into the Stratford Cenotaph has failed to show up in court.
Nathaneal Tewelde from Kitchener was scheduled to make an appearance in court in Stratford Monday to answer to charges including dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two drunk driving charges.
It comes after an incident in August when a vehicle drove into a stone wall near the cenotaph leaving it with substantial damage.
Tewelde was to make his first court appearance in late August but missed it after he called the duty counsel and said he had no ride to Stratford.
A discretionary warrant was issued for his arrest based on him making a court appearance the next week which he did.
The trial was adjourned that day so that Tewelde could apply for legal aid and hire a lawyer.
Another warrant has been issued for his arrest.
