Peter Gerard Tovenati, age 87, formally of Goderich, Stratford and Seaforth passed away peacefully with family by his side in Brussels on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. Peter was born in Gulpen, Holland, son of the late Vincent Tovenati and the former Margereta Mullener. Beloved husband of the late Evelyn Wilkinson-Tovenati (Doak). Loved father of David Wilkinson (Pat), Bill Wilkinson (Mary) and Shirley Dinsmore (Bob). Dear brother of Leo Tovenati of Stratford and Bernadette Tovenati of Holland. Also survived by his sister-in-law Berta Tovenati of Australia. Predeceased by his brothers Twain Tovenati and Zeph Tovenati, sisters Elizabeth Vossen and Maria Gulikers, sisters-in-law Grace and Joan Tovenati and brothers-in-law Martin Gulikers, Jan Dols and Pie Vossen.  Lovingly remembered by grandchildren, greatgrandchildren and uncle to many nieces and nephews in Canada and Holland. Visitation at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Monday, October 1, 2018 from 6 – 8 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford on Tuesday at 11 a.m. followed by a reception in the Parish Hall. Interment at a later date in St. Patrick’s Parish Cemetery, Kinkora. As expressions of sympathy, memorial donations may be made to Huron Residential Hospice or St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church through the funeral home. 519.271.7411 – www.wgyoungfuneralhome.com
