Erie Street is now open, but a 19-year old area man has died in a single vehicle crash.
The call came into the Stratford Police at 3:30 this morning.
Police say the car was driving down Embro Road, hit a boulevard, drove across Erie Street and came to rest on a lawn on the other side of Erie. There were four people in the car. Two of them are in fair condition in the hospital. One area man died, the driver is in police custody.
The driver, a 19-year old from Burlington has been charged with impaired driving causing death. He is being held for a bail hearing.
Erie Street was closed between Lorne Avenue and Line 29 for the investigation.
