Stratford’s new Tom Patterson Theatre is one step closer to becoming a reality.
BMO Financial Group has announced it’s donating $1.5 million to the project and in return, the box office at the Stratford Festival’s new theatre will be named the BMO Box Office.
BMO is one of the founding partners of the festival and the donation makes the company the first corporate sponsor for the new theatre.
Back in January, the festival launched the $100-million Spirit of the Tent Campaign which will be used to fund the capital costs of the construction of the theatre which will be located on Lakeside Drive.
The theatre is expected to open for the 2020 season.
