Police say a man who recently tried to escape a RIDE spot check in Wellington County faces charges.
They say he fled from the check but was followed by officers who were eventually able to stop the pickup he was driving.
Police say the man was found to be drunk and he was arrested with a search turning up an open can of beer in the vehicle and cannabis in the pocket of the man’s jacket.
He’s been charged with drunk driving, having an open can of alcohol in the vehicle and having cannabis readily available.
His license was suspended for 90 days and his vehicle impounded for seven days.
