A 26-year-old London man faces charges after police say he tried to get away from them.
Stratford Police say just before 9 p.m. Sunday they attempted to stop a vehicle in the Erie Street and Embro Road area.
They say the vehicle failed to stop and continued to travel southbound heading out of the city and blowing through a red light at a high rate of speed.
According to police, the officer stopped following the man and pulled over to the side of the road with other officers later finding the man’s vehicle in the ditch at the round-a-bout at Road 119 and Line 20.
The driver was arrested and charged with Dangerous Operation of a Motor Vehicle and Flight From Police.
He has a court date scheduled for January 14th.
