Two men charged after Stratford Police say were found with six pounds of cannabis in their vehicle

Two men from Burlington face charges under the new Cannabis Act after Stratford Police say they were caught with six pounds of the drug in their vehicle.

Police were conducting R.I.D.E. Programs throughout Stratford, St.Marys, and Perth South Tuesday night when they say the vehicle with the drugs in it was stopped.

They say the drugs were seized and the two men, a 47-year-old and a 57-year-old, were arrested with charges laid and a court date for both scheduled for January 21st.

Police say, during the programs, three drivers were also stopped and requested to provide roadside breath samples with one issued a three-day suspension for having over 50mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in his system.
