Driver charged after collision involving bus with students on board in Ingersoll

Police say a 76-year-old driver has been charged after a bus with students on board was in a collision in Ingersoll.

Just before 8 o’clock Tuesday morning, Oxford County OPP say they responded to a collision involving a school bus and a mini-van.

They say their investigation determined that a school bus with seven children on board was traveling southbound on Albert Street and stopped at the intersection of Ann Street when the driver then turned eastbound onto Ann Street when the bus collided with a mini-van.

Police say neither of the drivers of the vehicles or the children on the bus were injured.

The bus driver from Ingersoll has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act.
