Case of driver charged in deadly collision in Stratford delayed for fourth time

The case of a driver charged in a fatal collision in Stratford that left a 19-year-old dead has been adjourned for the fourth time.
The Stratford Beacon Herald reports the lawyer for 19-year-old Favian Lee-Allert asked for a fourth adjournment in the case in a Stratford courtroom on Monday and the request was approved by a judge.
Lee-Allert’s lawyer said he requested the adjournment this time after being given further disclosure with the intention to schedule a judicial pre-trial.
The case is expected to return to court on  February 25th and Lee-Allert’s lawyer says it’s hoped a judicial pretrial will take place before then.

Nineteen-year-old Lee-Allert, from Burlington, faces seven charges including the impaired charge with none of the charges having been tested in court.

Eric Millar from Stratford was pronounced dead in hospital after a crash around 3:30 a.m. on October 28th in the intersection of Embro Road and Erie Street while two other people were taken to hospital in fair condition and later released.

Police say Lee-Allert was driving a Chrysler 300 westbound on Embro Road when it struck a boulevard, went across Erie Street and ended up on a lawn on the northwest side of the street.
