Counterfeit money continues to be in circulation around Stratford.
That’s according to Stratford Police who say that, as of Thursday, there have been eleven reports of businesses receiving counterfeit bills since the beginning of 2019.
In all but one of these situations, police say the bills passed have been American $100 bills.
The reports are coming from all areas that Stratford Police serve, but they say they particularly seem to be happening in St.Marys.
Business owners and managers are being asked to familiarize themselves with the security features found on all types of bills.
