Funding is on the way for Perth County to help deal with climate change.
The Federation of Canadian Municipalities is awarding a grant worth $110,400 to the area which is part of the 58 communities across Canada that are benefiting from the funding.
North Perth, West Perth, Perth East, Perth South, the City of Stratford and the Town of St.Marys will share in the funding.
A Climate Change Coordinator will be hired for a two-year period through the funding and the coordinator will be responsible for the development and implementation of greenhouse gas emission reduction plans.
