Mitchell man faces impaired charges after police say he drove into home

A 24-year old Mitchell man faces impaired charges after police say he crashed his SUV into a house.

Huron County OPP was called to the scene just south of Walton on North Line late last week when the homeowner reported his house had been crashed into.

After speaking to the driver officers determined the man was showing signs of being impaired.

The driver’s SUV was heavily damaged but the driver wasn’t hurt.

He is facing impaired charges, had his car impounded for a week and his licence suspended for 90 days.

He has a court date in late April.
