Public open house to be held on O’Loane Avenue project

You’re being asked for your thoughts on a major project in Stratford.

Staff with the City of Stratford say they have scheduled road improvements for O’Loane Avenue, from Lorne Avenue to Dannecker Road, and they are holding a public open house next week to gather feedback.

The open house is at Stratford City Hall from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. next Wednesday with the work scheduled to begin around July 8th and be finished around October 18th.

Work to be done includes upgrading the asphalt roadway and installing road sub drains and it’s being done to upgrade the above-ground surface features in order to prevent future system failure.

Officials say the project is made possible through funding received from the Federal Gas Tax and will not result in a direct charge to the properties.
