Police charge driver after they say he fell asleep and caused six-vehicle collision

Police say a driver will appear in court after he fell asleep and caused a six-vehicle collision near Listowel.

Around 3:45 last Friday afternoon, first responders were called to the collision on Perth Line 86, west of Road 135 in Perth East.

According to police, a man driving a sedan west on Line 86 fell asleep and struck four other vehicles travelling east on Line 86 and a bus travelling west on Line 86 carrying factory workers.

A 74-year-old Waterloo man has been charged with Careless Driving.
