Hinz, Donna Mae

Passed away peacefully at the Seaforth Community Hospital, on Sunday, August
25, 2019 surrounded by her loving family.  Donna was born 86 years ago in
Seaforth, the youngest daughter of Joseph Smith and the former Roma Diegel.
Beloved wife of the late Ronald Hinz (2002) and the late Peter Van Herk (2007).
Loving mother of Rodney Hinz (Farmer) and his wife Patti of Wartburg and
Sandra Hinz of Calgary, AB.     Dear grandmother of Loretta & Jordan Yeo,
Jocelyn & Devon Belfour, Ethan Hinz; and great-grandmother to Peyton Yeo.
Donna will be greatly missed by Michael, Elyse and Michelle Van Herk;
Rosemary, Leonard, Matthew and Elizabeth Auger; Gerald, Barbara and
Stephanie Van Herk.  Also remembered by a number of nieces and nephews, and
the extended Van Herk family.
Donna was predeceased by her sisters; Kathleen and Ervin Schwindt, Arbutus
and Ross MacLean, Leona and John Oldfield; niece Dianne Van Vliet,
brother-in-law Gary and Linda Hinz, and step-daughter-in-law Denise Van
Herk, and cherished members of the Van Herk Family.
Visitation at the Lockhart Funeral Home, 109 Montreal Street, Mitchell on
Wednesday from 6-8 p.m. and again on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church,
Brodhagen from 10 – 10:45 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 11 a.m.
Pastor Laura Sauder officiating.  Interment in St. Peter’s Lutheran
Cemetery, Brodhagen.
