Marjorie Ellen Gibson, age 92, of Stratford, passed away peacefully at Ritz Lutheran Villa, Mitchell on September 2, 2019. Born in Stratford, daughter of the late Gordon and Annie (Nichol) Thompson. Marjorie was a life member of the Ruth Rebekah Lodge and was a member of the IODE and Avondale United Church.
Beloved wife of the late Rev. Norman Gibson who predeceased her in March of 1993. Loving mother of Janis Nicklas (Ken) of Australia and Jane Anne Gibson (Pavel Trunecek) of Georgetown. Loving Granny of Maris Nicklas, Kyle Nicklas and AdeleTrunecek. Also survived by a sister-in-law Annie Curtis and many nieces and nephews.
Friends and relatives will be received at the W.G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Thursday, September 5, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. The funeral service will be held at Avondale United Church, 194 Avondale Avenue, Stratford on Friday at 11 a.m. Rev. Keith Reynolds will officiate. Interment at Avondale Cemetery.
