It’s high praise for Stratford when it comes to the Communities in Bloom 2019 edition.
At this year’s National/International Symposium and Awards Ceremonies in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia over the weekend the City of Stratford received Five Blooms-Silver rating and a special mention for the Ted Blowes Memorial Pollinator Peace Garden.
Stratford participated in the International Challenge Medium Category along with four other locations from across the globe.
The community also received an Outstanding Achievement Award for the Communities in Bloom 25th Anniversary Award.
Trained volunteer judges toured the different locations over the summer and evaluated each on several criteria including tidiness, environmental action and floral displays.
