Salvation Army looking for volunteers for Community Thanksgiving Food Drive

Here’s your chance to give back to your community.

The Salvation Army is looking for volunteers to help out with their Community Thanksgiving Food Drive coming up on Friday and Saturday.

Officials say the volunteers are needed on Friday at Giant Tiger in Stratford between 3 p.m. and 8 p.m. and then on Saturday they are needed at the Foodland and Sobeys from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Tracey Dempsey-Reid is a Community and Family Services Worker with the Salvation Army and she says volunteers can give as much time as they have.

“People can donate as much time as they’re available for, so you can do a one hour spot or as much time as you’d like to come out.”

If you’re interested in volunteering, you’re asked to call the Salvation Army office at 519-271-2950.
