Enhancing pedestrian safety and promoting an active and accessible city.
That’s what the City of Stratford says is behind the plans for a new sidewalk on the east side of Erie Street, from Lorne Avenue to West Gore Street.
A public meeting is being held at Stratford City Hall next Wednesday where staff will be available to give details on the proposed improvements and answer questions about the project.
The specific improvements include the construction of a 1.5-metre wide concrete sidewalk on the east side of Erie Street in that area along with the relocation of existing utilities.
The meeting is taking place from 5:00 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the City Hall Auditorium.
