A RIDE check in Palmerston has led to thousands of dollars of drugs off the street.
Police say they stopped the driver earlier this month and noticed drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle.
The driver was searched and had drugs on him. Later in the week, a search of property seized during the initial stop turned up meth, cocaine and brass knuckles.
The value of the drugs is $28,000.
A 41-year old from Palmerston faces drug and weapons charges.
