The Woodstock Police are going to the dogs.

The force has announced a new partnership agreement with the St.John Ambulance Therapy Dog Program.

Officials say that the dogs are a way to support the mental health and wellbeing for the force and the animals will make regular visits.

The first visit to the department is planned for 10 a.m. Wednesday and the dogs will return in the evening to visit with the on-duty night shift.
