Large barn fire near Stratford leaves twelve cattle dead

A fire near Stratford has left twelve cattle dead and completely destroyed a barn.
The Stratford Beacon Herald reports firefighters were called out to a barn on Perth Road 108 near Amurlee around 10 o’clock Wednesday morning.
It’s believed that thirty cattle were in the barn when the fire broke out.
Firefighters were expected to stay at the scene for most of the day to make sure the fire didn’t reignite.
Firefighters from Sebringville, Shakespeare and Stratford worked together to bring the blaze under control.
A cause of the fire has yet to be determined.
