We’re still digging out from our latest blast of winter.
With all of the blowing snow we’ve seen come down, and a chance of more on the way Thursday, emergency officials are reminding us there are a few things we need to keep in mind.
One of those is to make sure that snow and ice isn’t covering up the address numbers on our homes in case first responders need to find it.
West Perth and Perth East Fire Prevention Officer James Marshall says it’s all about being as efficient as possible.
“If we have an emergency medical call or a call where we’re responding, the time for us to try to decipher where your house is and what numbers could possibly be yours is time where we could be offering assistance.”
Marshall adds it’s a good idea to check to make sure your address is visible while out getting your mail, just in case.
