Parents will have to come up with a backup plan for elementary school students in the Avon Maitland District School Board.
A one day strike is being held Thursday by the Elementary Teachers Federation of Ontario.
Students at elementary schools in kindergarten to grade 8 are off as are 7/8 students in secondary schools.
The strike doesn’t impact students in grades 9 to 12.
Meanwhile, The ETFO has also directed teachers not to create comments for report cards and not to enter grades electronically.
The AMDSB says that teacher’s electronic submissions and verification of grades and comments are needed so report cards can be completed.
Without them, officials say students and families wont be receiving Term One report cards
