Majority of schools in Perth County to be closed Tuesday as job action continues

A majority of schools in Perth Country will be closed Tuesday.

All public elementary schools from kindergarten to grade 8 in the Avon Maitland District board will be closed as teachers participate in a one-day strike.

Public high schools will be open and it will be business as usual.

Also, all Catholic schools, including high schools will be closed Tuesday as the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association stages a province-wide work stoppage.
