Mary Helen Gould passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2014 with family at her side. She was 96 years old. Mary was born in Guelph daughter of the late James and Margaret Kay. She was a former employee of the Victorian Inn and later at Harlequin Books. She was a member of St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, a 63 year member of the Catholic Women’s League and a member of St. Pio Rosary Group for 20 years. Beloved wife of the late William Herbert Gould who predeceased her September 10, 1969. Loving mother of Marie Bauer (Robert), William -deceased (Hanne), Tom (Louise), Bob (Marlene), Margaret Ann Maslen (Mike), Dave (Janice), Gary (Donna), Joan McCarthy (John), John (Lynn). Grandmother to 18 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson. Sister of Velma Hebert (Donald). Also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. Besides her parents and her husband Mary was predeceased by sons James Gould (1964), William Gould (2014), brothers William, James and Jerome Kay, sisters Marguerite Ralston, Dorothy Falle, Lucille Burleigh. Friends and relatives may call at the W. G. Young Funeral Home, 430 Huron Street, Stratford on Wednesday, August 6 from 6-9 p.m. and on Thursday from 10 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. when transfer will be made to St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 96 Huron Street, Stratford for the funeral mass at 11 a.m. Rev. Fr. Dick Bester – Celebrant. Interment in Avondale Cemetery.
