First heat event of the season continues this week.
Temperatures will peak again to near the thirty degree mark in many areas Wednesday. While temperatures Thursday will continue to be above normal, they will be a little lower than today due to more cloud cover and perhaps an isolated shower or thunderstorm in the afternoon.
Humidex values in the mid to upper thirties will prevail again this afternoon.
A cold front will deliver considerably cooler and less humid air to Southern Ontario on Friday.
Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
