Three people charged in fentanyl investigation

Three people face drug-related charges after police say they seized a large amount of fentanyl.

Just before 5 o’clock Thursday afternoon, Stratford Police says their Street Crime Unit executed a search warrant at a home on Ontario Street.

They say they seized over 86 grams of Fentanyl; nearly two grams of methamphetamine; and 150mL of Gamma Hydroxybutyrate, commonly known as GHB.

The seized fentanyl had a street value of $25 800, with the methamphetamine and GHB valued at $190 and $150 respectively.

Officers also seized over $6500 in cash, as well as, several canisters of bear spray.

A 47- year-old male and a 37-year-old female, both from Stratford, and a 49-year-old female from Kitchener all face drug and weapon charges.
