Police: Hensall man faces charges after assaulting officers

A Hensall man faces charges after police say he assaulted officers in Clinton.

Around 7:30 Tuesday night, Huron County OPP officers were called out about an intoxicated person walking on the road on Rattenbury Street East.

Officers arrived on scene and say they found the heavily intoxicated person.

They say he pulled away from the officers while being arrested and the man assaulted both arresting officers by kicking them.

A backup officer attended the scene to assist and when he got close to the subject the accused spat on him.

The 38-year-old man has been charged with Resist Peace Officer and three counts of Assault a Peace Officer.
