Stratford Police investigating series of thefts over Thanksgiving weekend

Stratford Police are investigating a series of thefts and break and enters that happened over the Thanksgiving weekend.

SPS says they received a total of seven reports over the weekend with all of the incidents taking place overnight in the Maple Avenue/Whitelock Street/Wingfield Avenue areas.

They say three of the incidents were reported as a Theft from Motor Vehicle, three were reports of a Break and Enter to either a shed or garage, while one resident reported having their garage entered and items taken from their two vehicles.

The list of stolen items varies from personal electronics to jewelry, tools; and a bike.

In all seven instances the target of the theft was left unlocked and police are reminding you to ensure that your personal belongings are kept secure and locked up.
