West Grey Township man charged after driving while suspended

A 34-year-old West Grey Township man faces charges after police say he was caught driving while suspended.

Just after 2 o’clock Monday morning, Perth County OPP and Huron County OPP were holding a RIDE program on Perth Line 86, at the the border with Huron County.

They say a vehicle was observed with an LED light bar attached to the front grill, which is a Highway Traffic Act offence.

Upon further investigation, they say it was determined that the driver was suspended from driving, and had cannabis readily available.

The driver now faces charges including Driving while Under Suspension.

A seven day driving suspension and 45-day vehicle impoundment was also given to the driver.
