Stratford woman faces impaired driving charges

A 47-year-old Stratford Stratford woman faces impaired driving charges.

Just before 11 o’clock Sunday night, Stratford Police say they stopped a vehicle on James Street South in St.Marys.

After speaking with the driver, police say they observed possible signs of intoxication and a roadside test for alcohol was completed.

The test resulted in a fail resulting in the driver being arrested and transported to Stratford Police Headquarters.

Further testing was completed at the police station, which showed that the driver had nearly double the legal limit of alcohol in her system.

The driver was charged with Operation While Impaired-Alcohol, and Operation While Impaired-Blood Alcohol Concentration.

She was issued with a 90-day suspension of her licence, her vehicle was towed and impounded for 7-days, and she is required to attend court on December 21st.
