Police say a Stratford driver is going to be walking for a week after they were caught driving more than double the speed limit in West Perth.
Just before 11 o’clock last Thursday night, a Perth County OPP officer stopped a vehicle on the Perth Line 34 after they say it was recorded going over 170km/h in an 80km/h limit zone.
A 28-year-old man from Stratford was charged with Race motor vehicle – Excessive Speed
A seven day driving suspension and seven day vehicle impoundment was initiated as per statute.
He’s scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Stratford at a later date to answer to the charges.
