Death toll from COVID-19 now at 49 in Huron Perth

There’s one new death and six new COVID-19 cases in our area.

Huron Perth Public Health released updated data on Saturday.

The death was associated with Caressant Care Nursing Home in Listowel and it  brings the region’s death toll to 49.

Five of the new cases are in Stratford while the other is in Huron County.

There are currently 38 active cases in the region, two more than reported on Friday.

There have been 1,287 cases since the start of the pandemic with 1,200 recovered.

HPPH didn’t release updated numbers on Monday due to the Family Day holiday but they will on Tuesday.
