Huron Perth’s Medical Officer of Health says there haven’t been any COVID-19 variants identified in the region to date.
However, Dr.Miriam Klassen says we have to face the reality that we could see the variants in the area.
While the provincial stay-at-home order was lifted in Huron Perth on Tuesday, Dr.Klassen says we aren’t out of the woods yet and we need to remember we are still in a pandemic.
She says we need to continue to do things like minimize contacts and stay at home as much as possible.
Dr.Klassen adds we also need to adhere to public health guidelines when we go out into the community.
Meanwhile, she says they are expanding vaccinations to other prioritized groups identified in the first phase of Ontario’s vaccination plan.
