Perth County has a new Diversity, Equity and Anti-Racism Charter.
It was approved at a meeting on Thursday with officials saying it was the culmination of seven months of work and community consultation to develop the draft document.
It included surveys, virtual roundtables and one-on-one stakeholder interviews.
There are nine key principles and values in the charter.
County staff have also been directed to initiate the process to join the Coalition of Inclusive Municipalities.
