COVID-19 walk-in vaccine clinic in Wingham on Tuesday

If you live in Stratford it’ll take you an hour’s drive to snag a jab of the COVID-19 vaccine today.  Huron Perth Public Health is offering a walk-in clinic in Wingham from 12:30 pm to 4:30 pm at the North Huron Wescast Community Complex.  Don’t dilly-dally though, the doors will only be open while there is vaccine supply.

All vaccines will be Moderna and you can come in for either your first or second dose.  Please make sure if this is your second dose there have been 28 days pass since your first.

Other details you need to know:

  • Walk-ins will be accepted from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. or until vaccine supply for walk-ins has been used up.
  • This clinic is only for individuals 18 and older. Moderna vaccine will be administered.
  • You may come for either a first or second dose.
  • If this is your second dose, make sure it has been at least 28 days since your first mRNA dose. Remember that mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) can be mixed safely and effectively, so if your first dose was Pfizer you can still receive a second dose at this clinic.
  • Bring your health card with you, if you have one. Please bring a mask and wear a short-sleeved shirt.
  • If you have a booked appointment for this clinic, you will still receive your vaccine at the scheduled time.
  • Clinic staff will direct both booked appointments and walk-ins upon arrival.
  • The weather forecast for Tuesday calls for continued heat and humidity. Please bring water with you and stay hydrated.
