No-More Lockdowns court case in Stratford on hold

A court case against several people who took part in a No-More Lockdowns rally in Stratford is delayed.

Politicians Derek Sloan and Randy Hillier were among those charged by Stratford Police after the event in April.

It was held in protest of the measures the province had in place at the time to try and stop the spread of COVID-19.

The politicians were among a group of 14 charged with Failing to Comply with an emergency order.

However, their legal counsel from the Justice Centre for Constitutional Freedoms tells MyStratfordNow.com in an email that all court cases are on hold pending a constitutional challenge.

The challenge will be heard over three days starting on January 31st, 2022.

Ronald Brown pleaded guilty in August and was given a fine.
