The St.Marys Fire Department is stepping up to help other departments in need.
They have donated twenty-one pairs of firefighter boots to Firefighters Without Borders Canada, a non-profit organization that provides training and equipment to firefighters worldwide.
Officials say the decommissioned boots are still in great condition and suitable for service, however they expire for use in Canada after 10 years.
FWB will make sure firefighters in countries including Honduras, Dominican Republic and the Philippines benefit from the donation
