COVID-19 outbreak at Stratford General Hospital declared under control

A COVID-19 outbreak at the Stratford General Hospital has been declared under control.

Huron Perth Healthcare Alliance officials say the outbreak was first declared in the medicine unit on May 2nd after three cases of the virus were identified.

Precautions were put in place and Huron Perth Public Health announced on Tuesday that all five hospital acquired cases expected to be resolved this week.

The unit is back open for admissions and transfers and family members and caregivers are allowed to visit again.
